Project Spotlight: The Lanes Residences by Sunland Group
The Lanes Residences is an elegant waterfront development in the heart of the central Gold Coast, Queensland. A celebration of space and light, the four apartment buildings are sculptural forms designed to work in harmony with the natural contours of Lake Unity and the surrounding landscape.
Sunland Group worked with the KING Trade and Commercial team to specify KING pieces that complement both the outdoor and indoor spaces. Sunland was drawn to timeless KING designs with the quality to stand up to the rigour required for use in shared spaces. As the team explains,

The KING Outdoor Collection is prominent throughout the shared outdoor spaces of The Lanes Residences, with the King Cove Sun Lounge taking pride of place around the magnificent pool.

Specifying outdoor furniture that is sophisticated, comfortable, and durable is no easy feat as the Sunland team explains, the outdoor furniture needed to meet a specific brief.
“We wanted to create indoor and outdoor spaces conducive to recreation, wellness and social gatherings. The resort-style pool is not only central physically, it is the heart of these alfresco gatherings. With the outdoor space in mind, we knew that we needed to select pieces that were well constructed and durable but maintained a level of relaxed sophistication that complements the poolside setting.”
The alfresco areas feature Quay Outdoor lounge and dining pieces. Both finished in a waterfall WeatherWeave®. Soft to the touch but incredibly durable, WeatherWeave® is ideal for high use outdoor areas. Handwoven by KING artisans, the weave retains the beauty of natural material but will resist fading or degrading over time.
